What you will be doingu00A0
This position works with sales and pre-sales to: identify the appropriate managed services solution; provide presentations and technical details around solution; respond to RFI’s and RFP’s around the managed services provided; assist with pricing solutions; and, assist with contract negotiations around SLA’s, discounts and other related managed services items.

Knowledge / Experience

  • Monitoring Overnight batch processing till completion. (UNIX and Mainframe AS400)
  • Autosys scheduling tool, Level 1 investigation on Autosys console / WCC for scheduled batch flow
  • Operating system knowledge i.e Windows , Linux is a must. Mainframe (AS400) will be an added advantage
  • Client communication globally for incident reporting
  • Getting into bridge call and sending EIM notification to all parties with current status/Business Impact/RCA and steps performed
  • Communication and follow-up with vendors for delivery or availability of file
  • Monitoring server health though monitoring tool
  • Ability to work a variety of different shifts, including days, nights, weekends and holidays to support a 24X7X365 environment. Shifts may fluctuate to meet business and staffing needs
  • Ability to coordinate across teams, working closely with peers to ensure the appropriate focus and sense of urgency is applied to all issues
  • Documents all problems & issues encountered during the shift and prepare shift turnover document
  • Ability to work independently in an intense and dynamic production environment as a team player is essential Strong desire to share knowledge with others
  • Min. 1+ Yearsu2019 experience working on an operations style team (NOC, SOC, etc.) service desk, operations center and/or supporting large IT environments
  • Outstanding attention to detail, accuracy and quality of work; able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • ITIL Foundations Certification will be a plus

Skills

  • Some technical experience with Windows, Linux, VMware, SQL Server/Oracle, other middleware technologies
  • Practical experience of driving bridge call and sending Incident Management notification to all parties with current status/Business Impact/RCA and steps performed
  • Strong Communication and follow-up with vendors for delivery or availability of file

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent
  • ITIL v3 Foundation or higher desirable

  • Excellent communicator u2013 ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion
  • Attention to detail u2013 track record of authoring high quality documentation

  • Willing to travel occasionally (no more than 10%)
