Linux Kernel team based in Hyderabad/Bangalore is looking for talented, self-driven and motivated hands-on engineer to work on Linux kernel network device drivers for Marvell OcteonTx2 and Octeon 10 series of silicons. Scope of the work includes developing drivers, adding new features, optimization, maintenance and upstreaming.
Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is to design and develop Linux kernel netdev drivers for OcteonTx2 and Octeon10 SoCs.
  • Interact with customers, understand their requirements and add new features.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams across multiple locations.

Requirements

  • Good understanding and working experience of Linux Netdev device drivers.
  • Hands-on experience with NAPI, Receive Side Scaling and other basic netdev concepts is a must.
  • Experience with packet classification, scheduling and shaping hardware offloads is a big plus.
  • Experience with MACsec is a plus.
  • Prior experience of upstreaming patches to mainline Linux kernel is a plus.
  • Should be familiar with Linux kernel memory management, interrupts, IOMMU concepts.
  • Excellent programming skills using C.
  • Excellent software design, problem-solving, debugging, documentation, presentation skills.
  • Experience with Atlassian based products (eg: JIRA, confluence).
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and team player.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields and 4-12 years of related professional experience.
  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related fields with 4-12 years of experience.
