Context
The Organizational Development Business Partner (ODBP) is a newly designed position that comes at a critical point in our organization’s history. Marvell has transformed from a turnaround four years ago to a very successful company in high growth mode. This position will be key in helping us build a cohesive culture that is rooted in our organizational values and aligned with our vision, mission, and strategies. The role will be primarily responsible for developing OD approaches and capabilities focused on team and leader effectiveness and transformation, change management, and culture integration.
Responsibilities
- Deliver OD expertise for a variety of needs including building high performance teams, leader capability, org health, change and transition management, culture transformation
- Design, develop and implement a variety of OD solutions, (programs, playbooks, approaches, interventions/preventions, role mandates/decision rights) aligned with HR and business strategies to address critical gaps
- Develop methods for measuring effectiveness of all programs that support OD work Collect data and track progress by synthesizing results, reporting on trends, and recommending actions
- Use available research, reporting and analytics tools to drive strategic conversations with business leadership as well as identify opportunities to improve existing or develop new programs and solutions Identify meaningful insights/uncover critical opportunities to experiment, innovate, and implement high-impact OD solutions that can be scaled to the enterprise
- Apply project management skills to facilitate complex work and maintain stakeholder alignment Develop project schedules, plans and timelines
- Provide support for change management and performance management initiatives which may include analyzing team/org dynamics and work processes to determine recommendations or programs that need to be changed or implemented to increase organizational effectiveness
- Determine the strategy and tactics of leader and team integration activities to support successful transitions
- Define and propose metrics, analysis and ongoing reviews of team, leader and org health Use data, analytics and insights to enable evidence-based approach to OD and continuously assess and demonstrate impact Design and conduct readiness assessments, evaluate results, identify points of resistance, and present findings in a logical and easy-to-understand manner Adopt a systems view to developing solutions
- Focus on global scalability of all programs and solutions
- Provide thought leadership and develop benchmarks/BKMs based on best in class OD solutions and processes
- Partner closely with COEs and the HRBP community on projects or programs requiring OD expertise
- Continually invest in self-development and the evolution of the OD discipline by remaining current with new developments, technologies, industry trends and innovations
Requirements
- Deep application of OD/Consulting/Coaching concepts, principles, methodologies, and tools
- Proven expertise in assessment, diagnosis & feedback, strategy design, implementation planning, and ongoing execution support
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation and storytelling skills Ability to communicate information to varied audiences
- Demonstrated experience consulting with senior leaders and teams including contracting, discovery (needs assessment, data collection and research), diagnosis, providing feedback, developing action plans & deliverables, presenting results/recommendations, and support execution of action plans
- Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to lead projects from inception through completion while bringing stakeholders along
- Deep listening skills with ability to effectively coach and mentor others Must be able to lead by influence
- Comfortable with ambiguity and working in an evolving environment, balancing multiple projects and tasks while meeting deadlines
- Excellent relationship building, interpersonal and influence skills with clients and colleagues

Experience
- 10-15 plus years of OD experience preferred working in an OD/OE capacity with specific expertise in team & leader effectiveness as well as cultural integration in a global environment
- Proven experience in:
- Developing a strategy and implementing a plan for transforming teams from current state to high performance
- Leading complex organizations through complex change programs
- Working in a fast-paced environment and helping organizations scale
- Experience within Semi-conductor or high-tech industries preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Organization Development/Effectiveness, Organizational Behavior, I/O Psychology, Human Performance Technology or related field.
- Master’s degree preferred, MBA is a plus
- Preferred certifications in Change Management, Hogan and/or other Personality & leader assessments, TESI or other team assessments, CCMP or other change management certifications
- ICF coach certification preferred
