Danaher is seeking a Finance Controller for DHR Holding, based out of Mumbai.
What You Will Do
Accounting:
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies under US GAAP and local GAAP. Practical and working knowledge of key US GAAP and IND-AS.
- Ensure conclusion of statutory audit with no qualifications and internal audits with no significant observations. Ensure timely closure of all open actions.
- Implement strong accounting controls and drive standard work for month close, Balance Sheet reconciliations and exception reporting.
- Ensure timely accounting and compliance with all statutory obligations.
- Support with Balance Sheet reviews for operating companies within the group.
- Provide guidance to operating companies on group policies and conduct trainings as appropriate.
- Drive successful closure of Internal Audit / BS review actions for the legal entity and support operating companies to close internal audit actions / drive control improvements. Develop early warning mechanism to identify significant risks.
- Develop accounting systems / ERP set-up to ensure compliance with all local regulations including tax requirements.
Tax
- Ensure compliance with various Direct tax and indirect tax compliance requirements for the legal entity in a timely manner.
- Ensure Transfer Price compliance and develop review mechanism to ensure TP compliance for the operating companies on a regular basis.
- Drive and support tax litigations for both direct tax and indirect matters in collaboration with tax consulting firms and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive tax efficiency and determine tax risk mitigation measures to ensure operational effectiveness for the organization. (eg; SEIS credits, EOU, others).
Financial Analysis and Management reporting:
- Develop and manage corporate budget and ensure spend within the budget limits. Review monthly budget and forecast submissions on a timely basis as per calendar.
- Collate monthly / quarterly CVD’s from operating companies and summarize results for India operations with key take-aways.
- Prepare decks for operations reviews / council meetings / board meetings in coordination with cross-functional stakeholders.
Business Support:
- Support new business expansion projects for the company (eg: new operating entity set-up, Finance support for India Development Centre etc).

Preferred Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant
- 15 plus years of post-qualification experience
- Financial Acumen and sharp commercial mindset/ P&L understanding
- Strong on analysis of Financials and business metrics

- Bankers, tax and accounting firms
