ROLE:
The Front Office Business Analyst (BA) will partner with other teams internally and externally to act as an intermediary. The BA will represent the front office on business projects and relevant corporate strategy implementation. This will include the inputting and prioritizing process and technical changes on behalf of Investment Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Represent the Front Office on strategic projects and working groups, owning issues and delivering actions.
  • Support the prioritization, assessment and delivery of IT Change, including managing small changes and projects.
  • To provide business support to the fund managers and dealers in Equities and Fixed Income teams globally.
  • Interface with other departments and external vendors as a point of escalation and source of technical operational expertise.
  • Represent management on new product and fund launches to ensure all front office impacts are considered.
  • Responsible for managing Management Business Continuity.
  • Coordinate the implementation and development of new instruments and new markets.

OTHER FUNCTIONS: Assumes additional duties as requested or assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Leadership

  • Will be an ambassador for Front Office Services.
  • Will develop a strong understanding of the team’ s processes and champion change.
  • Will have good organisational skills and time management.
  • Has the ability to operate and communicate with all areas of the business.
  • Will be self-motivating and quickly support the development of the Henderson business.
  • Will have good experience and knowledge of the asset management business
  • Will have a detailed understanding of the core business areas and processes.
  • Will have a good understanding of the underlying product types
  • A good understanding of Charles River is preferable.

Personal Skills

  • Strong coordination and process management skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of asset management business.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to develop relationships with fund managers and other stakeholders within the business and externally.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

  • Three years’ experience supporting Investments or similar Business Analyst experience
  • Three years’ experience in the mutual fund/financial services industry preferred

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’ s Degree required

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:

  • Overtime may be required on short notice and may include weekend/evening/holiday hours
  • Physical open space environment with fax machine, copier, telephone, calculator, stock monitors, trading systems, etc.
  • PC usage up to 100% of the time
