Your Role and Responsibilities
As an Infrastructure Specialist ‒ WebSphere (WAS) Professional, you are responsible for crafting, running and monitoring the infrastructure to support WebSphere servers.

Responsibilities:
- Involved in IBM WebSphere Application server V7.0 installation, configuration and management
- Considerable initiative and discernment relative to problem determination / resolution and telephone etiquette
- Interpret documentation and craft handbook and maintain technical documents The ability to implement customer requested changes
- Implement Clustering mechanism to reduce the administrative tasks
- Work on Client-Server architecture for one-to-one and one to many connections
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Minimum 3 – 4 years of shown experience with WebSphere infrastructure
- Proven knowledge at configuration of WebSphere V7.0 including backup-config and restore-config profiles
- Working knowledge and take initiative in WebSphere V8.0 implementation, support, Workload Management and Performance Tuning
- Proficient to lead and drive third parties to the quick resolution of change. Exposure to infrastructure technologies
- Experience in WebSphere performance monitoring/tuning and optimization/capacity planning
- Validated expertise in Level 1/2 Support Experience in fixing with at least one of middleware or reciprocal development platform and support other team members.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Experience in scripting for automation of application deployments and other infrastructure components
- Ability to monitor Applications, Generated core dumps and Heap dumps with support from team members along with experience on urban code
- You love collaborative environments that use agile methodologies to encourage creative design thinking and find innovative ways to develop with cutting edge technologies
- Ambitious individual who can work under their own direction towards agreed targets/goals and with creative approach to work
- Intuitive individual with an ability to manage change and proven time management
- Proven interpersonal skills while contributing to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
- Up-to-date technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications
