Designation: Accounting Associate
Roles and Responsibilities:

  1. Business processes and Accounts payable related data-entry involving
    1. Accurate logging of purchase details into the accounting system
    2. Attaching supporting documentation with transactions
  2. Prepare and deliver month-end financial statements
  3. Prepare and process payroll and Journal entries
  4. Prepare Month-end Journal entries for prepaid accruals and reclasses
  5. Prepare Bank and GL reconciliation
  6. Check end to end AP cycle and make necessary payments to vendors as required
  7. Prepare and deliver other reports as required
  8. Review and maintain financial records, data sheets, and invoices
  9. Process and prepare Sales Tax return for Canadian clients

Educational Qualifications and Skills:

  1. College degree in accounting or business
  2. Between 1-3 years of experience in a related position with strong accounting knowledge
  3. Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks Online and Xero as well as efficiency tools such as Expensify and Receipt Bank
  4. Demonstrated ability to follow processes with the discipline to achieve, efficiency and accuracy
  5. Passion for learning and using tools and technology in work, comfort with cloud-based tools
  6. Excellent computer skills with experience in MS Office Suite and Google Documents
  7. Proven successful track record in meeting tight deadlines
  8. Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
