Department Overview
Corporate Treasury is responsible for managing Wells Fargo’s balance sheet including capital, liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management. Treasury seeks to ensure Wells Fargo always maintains sufficient capital and liquidity resources to support growth in the Company’s businesses, while also ensuring a satisfactory financial cushion exists to protect against unforeseen stresses in the economic environment or the Company’s operations. About the role
Reporting into the Treasury Finance VP for India & Philippines, the Treasury Finance AVP will be a key member of the WFIP Corporate Treasury team.
This is an excellent opportunity to build on prior experience gained in: Treasury, Liquidity Risk Management, and Risk Management roles, Business Analytics, Finance or Middle Office to gain broad experience of two key topics of global regulatory focus specifically Liquidity Risk Management and Capital Risk Management.

Responsibilities
The incumbent will be specifically responsible for but not limited to:
- Responsibility for the development of the Governance team within Chennai
- Develop and maintain the principles, methodologies and policy documentation,
- Oversee the implementation of Well Fargo & Company’s policies for internal controls over Risk Reporting in EMEA Corporate Treasury (including RMII, G&O and COSO frameworks) and strategic planning for on-going compliance with the polices (proactive anticipation of internal control related matters). This responsibility includes ensuring the EMEA/APAC teams are compliant with WF EUCT and Model policies and support the implementation of any policy changes/new requirements,
- Partner with heads of business lines and other key stakeholders on all aspects of planning and strategy
- Oversight of a team of SME’s responsible for planning across EMEA/APAC.
- Interface with external & internal auditors, regulators and others on issues including control related matters,
- Maintain and update the BCP process,
- Manage and coordinate the legal entity score card process,
- Manage the coordination and submission of all documents prepared for the various Governance meetings including ALCO, ExCo and Board. Ensure all requests are submitted by the due date and all ad-hoc requests are completed in a timely manner.
- Act as a change agent for continual improvement of the Corporate Treasury control environment and governance,
- Lead the validation and challenge of documentation of regulatory and internal control deficiencies, including issue description, root cause, unmitigated impact, and corrective actions,
- Monitor new and emerging internal control related guidance and issues, developing guidance and facilitating training to EMEA Corporate Treasury to embed the control environment into BAU,
- Provide meaningful assessments of EMEA Corporate Treasury risk reporting control environment.
- Coordinate Treasury initiatives that require engagement with multiple stakeholders across multiple teams.
- Recruit and develops staff to support ongoing enhancements of Treasury Risk Reporting Controls
Market Skills and Certifications
Essential Qualifications
- Ideally post graduate qualified or degree educated in a relevant subject (Financial Services or Sciences preferred) with 14+ Years of experience, MBA/CFA/CA preferred.
- Extensive proven experience in financial institutions Treasury, Accounting, Audit or Risk Functions,
- Experience of EMEA regulations around Capital and Liquidity, CRR/Basel 3 and BIPRU,
- Sound comprehension of a broad array of financial markets including, but not limited to, foreign exchange, interest rates and repo/reverse repo,
- Thorough understanding and practical experience of liquidity, capital and recovery planning processes
