Function:

The Puma Energy Group global tax & Transfer Pricing strategy is based on the following key points:
• Setting policies, standards and culture;
• Ensure accurate, predictable (i.e. no surprises) and transparent movements in the Group’s tax obligations supported by appropriate documentation and strong technical positions;
• Being compliant with tax laws, regulations, obligations and international (tax) accounting standards;
• Being transparent and co-operative towards tax authorities;
• Mitigate (i.e. reduce) cash tax outflows and optimize tax receivables/payables;
• Optimising the Group’s tax position seeking to obtain a competitive tax level in a fair and responsible way whilst ensuring compliance with applicable local and international tax and Transfer Pricing legislation taking into account a low to medium tax risk profile; and
• Actively managing and reporting of tax risks and opportunities through design and implementation of the Tax Governance Framework.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply and maintain the appropriate Transfer Pricing approach and related documentation (Modular Documentation Approach);
• Update and maintain the Group’s Masterfile;
• Prepare and maintain local Country Files;
• Prepare, review and assess benchmark studies & comparable analysis;
• Prepare annual Country-by-Country-Reporting file for submission;
• Document the Related Party Transactions in accordance with the Transfer Pricing Documentation Policy;
• Calculate certain intercompany transactions (e.g. Overhead Recharges, Licences, User Fees) and ensure these are accurately reflected in accounting systems;
• Maintain the necessary accounting records, calculating, recording, gathering and summarizing the information for Related Party Transactions as required by the Transfer Pricing Rules;
• Ensure reconciliation and transparency of the flow of information from source documents to the accounting entries and ultimately to the financial statements and the information provided to Taxation for tax reporting purposes;
• Prepare first response to any transfer pricing related tax audit query in collaboration with external tax service providers
Requirements:
Experience:

3-5 years of relevant work experience, including experience in Transfer Pricing and/or international corporate tax environment:
• Experience of global documentation projects and how documentation requirements vary by country;
• Strong understanding of current developments in the Transfer Pricing world to include latest BEPS initiatives and related impact and consequence;
• Proven transfer pricing experience, ideally from a big 4 accountancy firm;
• Knowledge of OECD and UN Transfer Pricing guidelines;
• Strong data analysis and communication skills;
• Ability to present information / data in a comprehensive manner to key stake holders.
Skills / Qualifications:
• ACA/CA/CPA/CFA/CTA (or other equivalent qualifications) preferred
• Fluent in English (must), Proficiency in French or Spanish a strong asset
