Fluke IDC – Technical Manager
Fluke is looking for a Technical manager with experience in managing teams in an agile development environment. In this role, you will work with a team of highly skilled software engineers and pave way for building our SaaS web application, LinkWare Live. The web applications you will be working on will communicate with our portfolio of products to provide customers with powerful new capabilities that will have significant impact on their workflow and efficiency.
CURRENT DEVELOPMENT STACK
Platform: Amazon EC2 Container Service (ECS), Docker
· Backend: Node.js, Redis, PostgreSQL on Amazon RDS
· Frontend: Angular 2+, Bootstrap, Redux, Sass
· Continuous Integration: Circle CI
· Monitoring: ELK, NewRelic, LogEntries
Responsibilities:
· Manage project milestones and schedules in Agile development environment working with a larger global team.
· Hands-on technical line management for a team of talented developers
· Responsible for employee hiring, training, career development planning, and any disciplinary activities.
· Develops the technical competence in staff to close skill gaps and to achieve satisfactory succession planning.
· Interface with various product groups and drive adherence to organization KPI in an agile environment.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams e.g. Product Management, UX and support groups to define development goals, deliverables, and resource requirements for projects.
· Ensures teams are considering the use of leading-edge technology and keeping pace with revolutionary and innovative trends in their fields.
· Oversees and manages team deliverables to project teams and sustainment activities.
· Rapidly prototype features and new concepts.
Qualifications
:
· 8+ years of experience developing cloud applications & team management experience in agile development environment.
· 3+ years of technical management experience supervising and directing the team of web developers.
· Ability to create highly engaged and performing teams.
· Demonstrable depth of experience in communicating with internal groups, including product management, UX.
· Proven ownership and delivery of a sizable product or product component, strong sense of independence and self-direction is essential.
· Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.
· Availability for travel and flexible work hours to work with teams across time zones.
· Exceptional written, verbal, technical and interpersonal communication skills.
Technical Competencies
· 8+ years of experience developing secure public RESTful web services using Node.js
· Experience working with relational and non-relational databases.
· Knowledge of server-side technologies like Node.js
· Experience working in Amazon Web Services environment.
