Job Description

  • Manage direct tax-related statutory compliances like ROI, TP Audits, and Tax Audits
  • Oversee the process of Quarterly WHT return filings for domestic and foreign vendors including the filing of Form 15CA/CB
  • Manage and Support ongoing Tax litigations and ensure data preparedness for ongoing and current financial years Working with Tax leads for review of the litigation status
  • Computation of advance tax on a quarterly basis – after considering the reconciliations with USGAAP and the business forecast for the respective Financial Year
  • Preparation of Quarterly revenue reporting required for SOFTEX filings [SEZ Compliances]
  • Preparation of monthly Transfer Pricing Calculations and oversee the TP Study and documentation
  • Track extraordinary costs incurred during a year (for e.g. itemized sales, COVID impact, etc.). These may be excluded from the cost base for calculation of margins for transfer pricing purposes depending upon specific situation
  • Ensure proper documentation to claim tax deductions for one-time costs/write-offs/benefits for corporate tax and transfer pricing purposes
  • Support the controller team with the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
  • Preparing reconciliations and roll forwards, account analysis and processing month-end journal entries for a Tax-related G/L accounts
  • Work with internal auditors to provide the necessary support for process audits and improvements
  • Work with independent external auditors to provide support for Interim, or Final audits
  • Provision and coordination of commercially focused tax advice to the businesses, including tax support in respect of business change, acquisitions, expansion and specific transactions
  • Engage with internal and external business partners to understand the needs of a growing business and address the concerns raised on tax-related matters while closely monitoring the changing tax ecosystem
  • Liaise with Tax Leadership Team to provide tax support on strategic matters in region and respond to tax-related inquiries from the businesses
  • Support in preparing responses to Advance Pricing Agreements Questionnaires
  • Provide support with tax implications in case of mergers and acquisitions Support on harmonization process (transfer of employees) advise on the implication for transfer of assets, review and approve of CIT returns and supporting M&A on liquidation process
  • Oversee the complete Direct and Indirect Tax function [GST] and ensure timely compliances
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis to the team when requested

About Candidate

  • Maintain current knowledge of all tax laws affecting Salesforce
  • Ability to work and collaborate with internal and external business partners
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills Strong business and tax technical skills needed Possess Analytical, innovative, with good research skills
  • Detail oriented, analytical, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable to work independently and as part of the team, across borders and functions and able to manage and influence relationships with others in a positive way.

Skills

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with post qualification experience of minimum 5 years
  • Strong corporate income tax exposure with good knowledge in indirect tax and transfer pricing
  • A combination of both Big 4 firm and commercial exposure is an advantage
  • Good interpretation skills of tax laws, rules, and procedures
  • Very high standards of integrity and work ethics
  • Ideal past experience
