MSE-CDP – Common Facility Centre (CFC)
The Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India (GOI) has adopted the cluster development approach as a key strategy for enhancing the productivity and competitiveness as well as capacity building of Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs).
To support the sustainability and growth of MSEs by addressing common issues such as technology up-gradation, skills and quality, market access, access to capitals etc.,
To build capacity of MSEs for Common supportive action through formation of self-help groups, consortia etc.,
To set up Common Facility Centre (for Testing, Training Centre, raw material depot, effluent treatment, complementing production processes, etc.,)
The project proposals submitted by the Registered Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) as per guidelines of MSE-CDP schemes will be given Grant in aid for the setting up of Common Facility Centre (CFC).
The funding pattern of MSE-CDP(CFC) scheme:
Grant from GOI | 70% (maximum project cost of Rs.20 crore) |
Grant from GoTN | 10% (maximum of Rs.1 crore) |
SPV Contribution / Bank Loan | 20% |
TANSIDCO has so far implemented 24 projects at a total project cost of Rs.128.46 crore and implementing further 19 projects at a total project cost of Rs.225.93 crore under CFC in sectors like Safety Matches, Sago Serve, Ricemill, Engineering, Power Loom, Readymade Garments, Stainless Steel Utensils, Coir, Auto Components, Steel Fabrication, Plastic Sacks, Printing, Jewellery. Tamil Nadu is maintaining the first place in Cluster development programme in the country.
