Requirement (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Background)
– B.Tech/BCA/MCA degree or equivalent with 2-4 years work experience in IT industry
– Assist in the maintenance of applications, including 247, high-availability systems by responding to production issues/emergencies
– Basic knowledge of JBoss, Microsoft IIS, Apache and basic administrative knowledge of Windows & Linux.
– Knowledge of Oracle Database and SQL query execution.
– Support of enterprise level Web based applications with a mix of Unix and basic knowledge of Networking.
– Proven analytical, problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose and troubleshoot application issues.
– Excellence in verbal and written communication. Ability to communicate with all levels during critical events.
– Strong Technical background in large scale application stacks.
– Knowledge of chef is a plus.
– Knowledge of Incident, Change & Problem management.
Responsibilities:
– Respond to Service Request, Change Request & Monitoring alerts in timely fashion.
– Follow the SOP while responding to system/application alerts.
– Troubleshooting issues for applications deployed on JBoss & WebLogic.
– Applying Critical Patch Upgrades for middleware.
– Working on daily maintenance activities related to OS patching/maintenance.
– Identify & fix repetitive issues and identify opportunities for automation.
– Working with different team for issue resolution.
