Eaton’s Corporate Tax is currently seeking a Sales & Use Tax Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Beachwood, OH Corporate Headquarter location.

This position will play an integral role in leading certain of the sales & use tax aspects as the company grows through acquisitions, divestitures and reorganizations. This position also will assist in leveraging tax software to bring increased automation to the sales & use tax function. In this role, you will:
- Lead the sales & use tax aspects of integration of acquisitions, coordinate the transition services for divestitures and review internal reorganizations for sales tax impacts
- Provide training and support to operational personnel with respect to interpretation of the laws and the importance of obtaining valid exemption certificates
- Assist Eaton’s Tax Technology Team in implementing new tax software across legal entities and driving other process improvements using technology
- Role will also be responsible for supervision and training of direct report to prepare sales & use tax returns in a timely and accurate manner and to process tax payments as necessary
- Perform monthly reconciliations of sales & use tax accounts
- Perform tax research on sales and use tax matters
- Identify opportunities to recover overpaid sales & use tax or identify sales & use tax risks
- Become knowledgeable of Eaton’s businesses, organizational changes and accounting policies and practices
- Establish and maintain contacts with accounting, legal and operational personnel to facilitate timely identification of and response to issues and/or opportunities and to drive implementation of changes
- Work on cross functional teams
- Perform other duties and special projects as needed

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of seven (7) years of sales & use tax experience at a multistate manufacturing company or a Big 4 public accounting firm with multistate manufacturing company clientele
- Must be authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of Beachwood, OH will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance
- Master’s in Taxation
- Strong working knowledge of sales & use tax laws and concepts including experience with statutory, administrative and sales/use tax case law, knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles
- Excellent computer skills in the use of standard software (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and financial accounting systems including Oracle and SAP
- Experience with Vertex tax software
