Storage Administrator

About the team
This position is responsible for the day-to-day, business-as-usual, support of the Storage and Automation environments. u00A0This includes the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the storage environments.
Primary: NetApp Storage Technologies, WFA, Scripting hands on experience
Secondary: HP, Hitachi, Dell, EMC, Any NAS Product (Good to Have)
SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Good understanding and knowledge of enterprise NetApp Storage Technologies.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience working with FAS products, Data OnTap and SAN/NAS solutions listed below
    • Products/Tools: FAS8000/9000 Series, AFF700/8200, OnCommand Insight, OnCommand Unified Manager
    • OS: Data OnTap 9.1 and above.
    • SAN/NAS Technologies: CIFS, NFS, FCP, Exports, Lun mappings, Vol creation, Aggregate Expansion, Snapmirror troubleshooting, Snapshot/Snapvault creation/retention/restoration, Troubleshooting, Cisco Nexus Switches Zoning.
    • System Upgrades: Data OnTap upgrades, Disk, Shelf, ACP, SP & Motherboard Firmware Upgrades.
    • Good to have: FCoE knowledge, Cisco FC Switch Experience, NetApp Filer Builds
  • Cluster Data Ontap (cDOT) Expert.
  • Periodic reviews, performance tuning, maintenance of entire Storage ecosystem and executing initiatives to reduce failures, defects while improving overall performance.
  • Good experience in a UNIX environment with experience in scripting.
  • Manage online data backups and the overall execution of retention policies.
  • Managing service support tickets which includes (Incident, Change, Problem)
  • Good to have knowledge on DELLEMC, HP, other NAS products.
  • Good Communication Skills to work with USA, EMEA Global Teams.
  • Python/Perl/Shell Scripting Hands -on is must.
  • Ability to automate multiple operations repeated issues.

What you will be Doing:
u2022 Completes backup and recovery, data migration, storage allocation, connectivity and storage reporting requests.
u2022 Creates, removes and expands file systems and volumes.
u2022 Provides SAN switch / director monitoring, configuration and support.
u2022 Works with senior peers to develop change management procedures.
u2022 Creates and maintains documentation.
u2022 Creates investment proposals and presents concepts during team meetings.
u2022 Provides assistance with system solution design.
u2022 May require rotating 24×7 on-call support responsibility as well as weekend support.
u2022 Some travel is required.
u2022 Other related duties assigned as needed.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bacheloru2019s degree or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
