Staff Selection Commission has published the SSC JE Notification 2024 including a detailed SSC JE Syllabus. The SSC JE syllabus is distributed across two papers i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2. Both these papers are conducted as Computer Based Examinations. Paper 1 consists of three parts viz. General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Engineering (Electrical). Paper 2 is subject-specific and consists of 100 questions based on the SSC JE Electrical Syllabus of Diploma Level.

SSC JE Electrical Syllabus 2024 Paper 1

The SSC recruits hundreds of eligible candidates as Junior Engineers. To test their knowledge, the SSC JE Syllabus has included three subjects in Paper 1 CBE. These are General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Electrical Engineering. Candidates must qualify the SSC JE Paper 1 to be shortlisted for Paper 2. Also, both Paper 1 and Paper 2 marks are counted towards merit. Therefore, candidates must prepare and score well by studying according to the SSC JE Syllabus.

There will be 50 questions worth 50 marks based on General Awareness in SSC JE Paper 1. The General Awareness section of SSC JE Syllabus Paper 1 includes questions on general awareness of the environment and its application to society. These include current events and things of everyday observations and experiences in their scientific aspect. The SSC JE Syllabus does not require specialization in the subjects of General Awareness.
