2. SSC CGL Result 2017:
- The SSC CGL result of Tier 1 will be declared in 1st week of October.
- The exam is scheduled to be conducted from August 5 to 24, 2017.
- The SSC CGL result 2017 of Tier 2 will be announced in January 2018 followed by Tier 3 in February 2018.
- The result of SSC CGL Tier 4 will be declared in March/April 2018.
- The exam will be conducted in February 2018.

7. How to calculate SSC CGL Tier 1 Result:
- The score of the exam will be all based on the number of question candidate will attempt.
- For each correct answer, 1 mark will be allotted and for each wrong answer 0.5 marks (1/2) will be deducted as per the marking scheme of the exam.
- The marks will be allotted or deducted from the total of 200 scores.

11. SSC CGL Result 2017 of Tier 3:
- The result of SSC CGL Tier 3 will be declared in February 2018.
- The exam of which will be conducted on January 21, 2017.
- The descriptive test of SSC CGL will be conducted for total 100 marks.
- Candidates are required to minimum qualifying marks of 33 % out of 100.
- Candidates need to qualify the test to be shortlisted for Tier 4 exam.

12. SSC CGL Result 2017 of Tier 4:
- The SSC CGL Tier 4 result will be declared in March/April 2018.
- The Tier 4 exam will be conducted in February 2018.
- Tier 4 will be held for the post of Tax Assistants (Central Excise & Income Tax), Assistant Section Officer of CSS Assistant Section Officer (MEA) and Assistant in Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) and Assistant (GSI).
- This Tier is qualifying in nature.

13. Key points of SSC CGL 2017 Result:
- The final result of SSC CGL 2017 will be declared based on the overall performance of candidates in Tier 1, 2 and 3.
- Candidates need to qualify in all the tiers separately.
- There will be no sectional cutoff marks.
- The commission will draw an All India Merit list for each category of post.
- Candidates who are found by the commission to have qualified the examination shall be recommended for appointment in each category of post.
- Tier-I examination is used to screen the candidates for appearing in Tier-II examination for various papers.
- Marks of such screened candidates in Tier-I will be taken into account for final ranking of candidates for selecting them for the Computer Proficiency Tests/ Data Entry Skill Test and also for final selection.
- The merit list will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by candidates in the written examination and post preferences.
