* S&P Dow Jones Indices* The Role: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer, Infrastructure Systems Grade : 9 The Location: Hyderabad The Team: You will be part of a world class Product Services & Engineering team architecting various solutions for business requirements within different product offerings of S&P Dow Jones, used by tens of thousands of users globally. The team is responsible for ensuring cloud solutions that deliver Greater Reliability & Resilience, High Performance, High Availability and Scalability. The Impact: You will utilize your technical knowledge and analytical skills in architecting and optimizing cloud infrastructure, standardizing technology stack for cloud & data centers, implementing cloud service catalog and service governance solutions, and driving implementation of our cloud first strategy and cloud adoption in partnership with development & business stakeholders. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for supporting a large-scale deployment and all underlying systems related to supporting cloud computing workloads and IT project deployment. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain tools to enhance network visibility and automation for on-prem and cloud (AWS) Develop a secure and scalable cloud (AWS) infrastructure Serve as architect and consultant regarding all AWS components, network components, functions, and implementations Experience working with customers to diagnose a problem, and work toward resolution Familiarity with Networks firewalls, routing, and switching technologies, load balancers Experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, MPLS, 4 years to 7 years of work experience. Work closely with our internal customers on designs/solutions; bringing those designs/solutions from concept to production. Create and update our network standards and ensure that the network is deployed to these standards. What We’re Looking For: Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field or equivalent experience to a bachelor’s degree based on 3 years professional experience for every 1 year of education 4+ years professional experience working in large scale networking environments. Experience with internet routing protocols and concepts: TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF. Experience working in a Linux/Unix environment Able to work in a diverse team Preferred Qualifications: Candidates should have a minimum of 7 years industry experience in a similar environment e.g ISP, peering and exchange, and large (IP) carrier networks. Knowledge of network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills; specifically, network performance analysis Experience working with customers to diagnose a problem, and work toward resolution Excellent verbal and written communication skills Background in high availability, global backbone design and architecture is highly preferred.
