OpenText Enterprise monitoring and automation team is looking for a senior Level monitoring engineer. The team is responsible for enterprise infrastructure, application, and network monitoring. The selected candidate will be joining a team of skilled engineers with a broad background in enterprise monitoring and related toolsets.

The selected candidate will be joining a team of skilled engineers with a broad background in enterprise monitoring and related toolsets.
You are great at:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Resourcefulness – good troubleshooting, research, and investigative skills
- Collaboration – experience interfacing with automation consumers/users and technical subject matter experts
- ITIL fundamentals, including Incident/Change/Problem Management
- Experience writing clear technical documentation and user guides is a plus
- networking protocols, including TCP/IP, SSH, WinRM, Web Services, etc
- large, diverse enterprise environments, including working with remote datacenters
- fundamentals of High Availability/Disaster Recovery design
- LDAP/Active Directory for authentication and role-based access control
- Windows Server Operating Systems
- programming, including Python
- databases including basic SQL
What it takes:
5+ years of total IT experience
3+ years of automation experience
- Unix-based Operating Systems (RedHat Enterprise Linux)
- Scripting languages including shell/bash; PowerShell is a plus
- Version Control Systems (Git and Subversion)
- sudo and file permissions, including the dynamics of command execution under different user environments
- Strong knowledge/experience using and supporting Ansible, including:
- developing playbooks, including YAML, using Ansible modules, debugging and testing, etc
- administering Tower, including managing jobs/job templates, projects, inventories, roles/permissions
- module/plugin development is a plus
- Strong knowledge/experience using and supporting HP Operations Orchestration, including:
- Developing operations and flows, including scriptlets, REST web service ops, debugging and testing
- Administering HP OO Central and RAS servers, including managing Content Packs, and roles/permissions
- plugin development is a plus
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering. Masters preferred.
