Senior Backend Engineer Responsibilities:
- Work with product and engineering leads to design client/server solutions
- Develop APIs for game clients to communicate with game servers and third party platforms
- Architect database solutions based on product and client needs
- Research and recommend technologies to enhance product quality and development efficiency
- Effectively consult with clients in the areas of back end development and data management
- Utilize workflow tools for collaboration, planning, and ongoing product maintenance
Required Skills/Experience:
- Ruby, Python or Node.js
- MVC/MVP design patterns
- Postgres, MySQL, NoSQL and/or other database technologies
- Cloud-based persistence / data management
- Strong communication and consulting ability
- Git versioning and workflow
Additional Desired Skills/Experience:
- C++, C#
- Hosting environment management
- Agile workflow
- Game engine or game design experience
- Nerf conflict resolution
