JOB DESCRIPTION – SQA -Chassis Systems
- Carry out supplier validation audits, withsupplier support and supplier advanced product quality planning(APQP).
- SQE should have technical knowledge aboutbelow systems :-
Chassis & Gearshifting, Engine Mounts Air intake systems, Exhaust systems,Radiator, Condenser, HVAC, plastic, rubbers.

- Work with Engineering (Design andManufacturing Engineers) team to define process parameters andcriteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meetproduct and process requirements
- Lead the supplier approval process byassessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safetyand Environmental risks
- Support new product launches to ensure thatsupplier quality meets the required standards
- Facilitate root cause analysis and correctiveactions of supplier quality issues
- Perform on-site supplier visits for root causeanalysis and verification of correction actions of supplier qualityissues
- Collate and evaluate supplier quality data toidentify process improvement opportunities within the supply chain
- Work with the supplier directly, createcorrection action plans to address process failures
- Review supplier manufacturing processes,collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and valueenhancement opportunities
- Promote the use of customer preferredtechniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma,Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and ProcessFailure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Provide concise, complete and accuratedocumentation of inspection results relative to area ofresponsibility. In appropriate functional areas, this refers to supporting inspection and test status requirements defined byregulations, engineering product specifications or Control Plans,Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) approval or product warrantsubmission
- Facilitate the escalation of unresolvedsupplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
- Support the Quality Manager to monitor andreport on supplier product quality and performance
- Deliver training of quality awareness
- Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) inorder to adhere to process and prevent occurrence of anynon-conformity relating to product, process or system .Assist with first off sample approvals
- Participate in cross-functional teams in thedevelopment of new products or changes related to current productsin meeting customer requirements
- Manage and coordinate supplier Parts PerMillion (PPM), supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery andsupplier warranty indicators
- Undertake special projects as required
- Contribute to continuous improvementactivities
- Quality control of work by appropriate reviews
- Support and lead process improvementactivities at the supplier
- Write reports and present progress at projectmeetings and to clients
Preferred Knowledgeand Education
BE / B tech: Mechanical /Electrical
Possesses 8 -10 years ofexperience in areas – Sourcing and New Product Development.Preferable in passenger car segment. (OEMor Tier 1-Out of total experience he should have been worked min 4 to5 year in one organization).
