Job Responsibilities:
- Hands-on experience with the Hadoop stack (e.g. MapReduce, Sqoop, Pig, Hive, HBase, Flume)
- Experience with ecosystem technologies -Storm and kafka is highly desirable
- Exposure to NOSQL databases (HBase, Cassandra, MongoDB, etc)
- Excellent Knowledge of Linux/UNIX systems and commands
- Excellent Knowledge of DW concepts
- Experience with major Hadoop distros and platforms like Cloudera, Hortonworks, mapR essential
- Certifications from Cloudera, Hortonworks etc., is an added advantage
- To work as part of support teams and enabled to do code and unit test for issues raised.
- Ensure OLA/SLA is always met as per agreed business commitments.
- Flexible to work in shift to support the application in 24X7
- Stakeholder management is key skills to consider.
