About the opportunity
FIScurrently has an excellent opportunity for an Expense /Revenue/Commission Accounting Supervisor in Banking Solutions core accounting team. This position will have an active role in closing the business and groupu2019s P&L, preparing Balance Sheet reconciliations, Trend Analysis, Quarterly BS and P&L Analytics and extensive working with audit team. Additionally, it would require working with the business directly and closely on revenue and expense. Also, coordinate with various business and corporate teams on financial issues directly associated with products and groups.
About the team
Youu2019ll we working with a team of highly competitive and qualified accountants who are proficient in handling jobs with complete ownership and responsibility. The month end close would be challenging and dynamic in nature and would requires analytical mindset and eye for details. Every accountant would have their own set of products within the group for which they would be fully responsible to complete the month end activities and reconciling balance sheet accounts during mid-month. The team would be closely interacting with the Business Finance, Delivery and Operations.
What you will be doing

  • Review and approval of Group level monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations, ensure preparation is in strict adherence to policies and procedures, all open items are accurately/timely identified and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Approval of journal entries in accordance with US GAAP and Company Financial Policy
  • Strong Analytical skills – Monthly P/L and B/S Trend Analysis to identify accruals/ wrong coding/unusual postings/etc. and work closely with respective stakeholders to resolve before books close
  • To work closely with Group controllers, Sub-ledgers, tax teams, any other stake holders located globally
  • Drive Review and other Month end call with Business stakeholders and Controllers
  • Guide and mentor team members, day to day process and BAU reviews, address queries
  • Create and drive culture of strong Review mechanisms, monitoring and tracking mechanisms, Process controls.
  • Ability to plan and deliver work as per the set timelines, drive and Impart technical and process knowledge to teams
  • Assist with SOX, external and internal audits providing supporting/addressing queries/general ledger information as requested
  • Support Monthly/quarterly/Annual analytics preparations and Reviews
  • Maintain strong stakeholder relationship and drive changes/initiatives so as to align to Business needs
  • Assist Manager with special projects as assigned

What you bring:
Knowledge / Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Accounting and Finance related responsibilities
  • Proven Leadership experience in the same domain
  • Experience of handling team with multiple different tasks and activities
  • Experience in running reviews with management
  • Good knowledge of Revenue and Expense Accounting
  • Ability to understand and resolve problems with minimum assistance
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of management

Skills

  • MS Excel Proficient including formulations

Qualifications

  • B.Com, MBA
  • Additional qualification and relevant experience is a plus
