Office 365 Exchange Engineer (Consultant)
Job Responsibilities: Senior Office 365 Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting all components of theOffice 365 systems and associated infrastructure, including all related applications, servers and services. Individuals in this position will need to maintain a high level of ownership and investment in tasks associated with both new and ongoing O365 based needs within the IT environment. Incumbents must be able to lead efforts in troubleshooting, remediating and optimizing any and all Office 365-based issues, while also working with engineering requirements and providing strategic recommendations to management.
Along with O365,also has an on-premise exchange system which is used for a separate set of users. The incumbent will also be responsible for the designing, implementing, maintaining and supporting all components of the Exchange system.
Office 365 Engineers are expected to be able to implement, engineer and administer the following systems:
• Exchange Online and Exchange on Premise
• Skype for Business Online, and Skype on premises
• Office Online
• OneDrive Online
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of senior-level (tier 2 or 3) administration and engineering experience in an enterprise IT environment, having performed operational and break/fix activity along with engineering and design
• Microsoft Exchange, including 2013/2016 and Online versions
• Microsoft SharePoint Online with expertise implementing and supporting OneDrive for Business
• Microsoft Skype for Business Online and on premise, Skype PSTN Conferencing
• Web-based Office Online applications, including Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online, OneNote Online, and Delve
• Knowledgeability of implementing and managing Azure Rights Management Services and Information Rights Management policies.
• Good knowledge of authentication mechanisms
o Active Directory Federation Services
o Azure AD Connect
o Intune
• Extensive experience with the design and implementation of IT projects and major efforts, to include documentation, communication, and coordination of all components
• Expertise with professionally coordinating and assisting customer support (tier-1 or tier-2) personnel with O365 related incidents and tasks
• 2+ years of developing information system design, governance, process, procedure documentation
• Expertise in coordination and escalation to Microsoft support and ability to coordinate with first- and third-party software vendors as needed for resolution of business-impacting problems
• Microsoft Certified Professional
Desired Skill
· Broad knowledge of other Microsoft systems infrastructure products such as Azure and Windows Server, SCCM
· Basic scripting and development skills & PowerShell a plus
· Must have excellent Customer Service skills
· Understanding of legacy authentication scenarios preferred
· Experience providing user guidance, documentation, and consultation
· Excellent written, oral, interpersonal, and presentational skills
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
· Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
