This position is for a Software Automation/Test engineer in the GE Healthcare Digital Team. In this role you will be involved in testing software for the Enterprise Digital Solutions products. You should have knowledge of healthcare standards like Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM ), Health Level Seven (HL7), Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) etc. In this role you will be responsible for testing software products with highest quality and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities
In this role:
- You will collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions
- You will apply principles of Software Development Life Cycle and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP(Extreme Programing), Continuous Integration, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
- You will write codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
- Build features such as web services and Queries on existing tables
- Understand performance parameters and assess application performance
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in any stream (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with 5 to 8 years of experience in Software testing.
Desired Characteristics
Technical Expertise:
- Experience in at least 2 programming languages, including C# & Java.
- Expert in Scripting languages – Java Script, Python etc..
- Expert in automation frameworks – Selenium, BDD etc..
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and techniques.
- Aware of methods and practices such as Lean/Agile/XP, etc.
Business Acumen:
- Understands the technology landscape, up to date on current technology trends and new technology, brings new ideas to the team.
- Displays understanding of the project’s value proposition for the customer. Shows commitment to deliver the best value proposition for the targeted customer.
- Learns organization vision statement and decision making framework. Able to understand how team and personal goals/objectives contribute to the organization vision
