What will you contributeResponsibilities
As a member of the Retail International Documentation team your responsibilities will include but are not limited to
1.Working with development teams, product managers and business centers to research, develop, write and maintain high quality product documentation and collaterals appropriate for its target audience.
2.Developing and maintaining easy-to-understand user interface guides, online Help, implementation and configuration manuals, procedure manuals, process documentation, release notes and other collaterals.
3.Preparing content in alternate media forms (e.g. Power point presentations, videos and other collaterals for maximum usability). These will be used to supplement the documentation.
4.Mentoring other documentation team members on the documentation best practices, standard formats, process and content related aspects
5.Research and evaluate emerging tools and techniques for documentation management and adopt them in deliverables
6.Learning the product functionality through discussion with subject matter experts, personal use and experimentation.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience
Must have a portfolio of work with 7-8 years of technical documentation experience that demonstrates excellent writing skills, preferably in financial industry domains.
Prior experience of working in a product development organization with Agile methodology is preferred
Take independent ownership of product documentation including development and maintenance of repositories of reference materials
Familiarity with Software development life cycle and associated documentation stages including defined documentation templates
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills, self-motivated, detail-oriented and can work well as part of a team
Ability to quickly understand technical and functional concepts and present them as easily comprehensible structured documents
Evaluate current content and improve those through use of latest tools and techniques.Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science or Computer applications or Degree in English/Publishing/Content management with adequate industry experience (as mentioned above)
Excellent knowledge of MS Office such as Word, Powerpoint, Adobe Acrobat (PDF) is a must
Demonstrated experience with FrameMaker, and Robohelp/RoboHTM, or HTML5.
Experience in Madcap Flare an added advantage.
Experience using XML tools for documentation is preferred
Certification through the society of Technical communicators and/or proven relevant experience in the industry
