This position is for Leica Biosystems team located at Danaher India Development Center (IDC), Bangalore.
IDC is a research and development center with the vision of accelerating product roadmaps across various Danaher business segments. Started in 2014, the center now hosts 500+ associates, for multiple Danaher operating companies focusing on Diagnostics, Life Science, and Environmental and Applied Science segments. The operating companies include Beckman Coulter, Radiometer, Leica Biosystems, Danaher Digital, Hach, Leica Microsystems, HemoCue, Videojet and Cepheid.
The IDC workforce comprises of various product engineering teams, working on the development of software and hardware components of cutting-edge products for, Immunoassay, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular Diagnostics, Oncology, Neurosurgery and Water Quality. IDC has evolved as a centre of excellence for Cloud and data analytics, with significant contributions to the key informatics solutions. The teams consist of highly talented software & hardware engineers and development managers. The teams are supported by local Product managers, Quality & Regulatory and Intellectual property specialists.
The in-house teams work in close coordination with other global R&D centres at US, France, Germany, Japan, Australia, Denmark and Sweden. Located at the centre of Bangalore IT HUB, IDC is housed at state of art facility, measuring 120 K Sqft.Major Responsibilities
- Design, Develop and Test software in compliance with the applicable sections of the LBS Quality Management System.
- Translate software requirements into module designs and specifications.
- Crafting and building strong testing infrastructure to improve efficiency and quality.
- Work with architects and senior engineers to understand the present design and architecture.
- Work closely with the product owner in understanding requirements and translate them down to design.
- Investigates software, hardware, system problems and resolve root causes for failures.
- Provide customer support and product demonstrations when vital
Required Experience, Skills
- A minimum of 7+ years experience in Software Development including exposure to the full software development life cycle
- Proven and demonstrable experience in developing software applications in C#
- Experience designing software components using OOA/OOD methodologies
- Experience with SQL or No-SQL database management systems
- Very strong problem solving, analysis skills
- MS Visual Studio and Unit testing
- SCRUM / Agile development framework
- Distributed Source Control
- Good systems knowledge to work within a cross-functional and remote team.
Highly Desirable
- Experience in Hospital Information Systems integration with knowledge of HL7/FHIR standards for interoperability.
- .NET Core
- REST APIs
