As a Data Scientist, you will apply advanced machine learning technology to athena’s one-of-a-kind healthcare data set in order to improve the state of healthcare in the US.
The Team: The Machine Learning Platform team will be responsible for the development, deployment, monitoring, and continuous operation of the athena.intelligence cloud based platform supporting Machine Learning Algorithms. The Machine Learning Platform team will strive for operational excellence and take existing platforms to the next level with CI/CD and automated diagnostics/scaling/healing.

Job Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for different machine learning techniques and evaluate which are best
- Stay abreast and evaluate the latest in data science technologies
- Understand and follow conventions and best practices for modeling, coding, architecture, and statistics hold other members of the team accountable for doing so
- Adhere to rigorous testing of statistics, models, and code
Typical Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters in relevant field: math, computer science, data science, economics
- 4-6 years of professional experience training and evaluating machine learning models
- Excellent verbal communication and writing skills
- Proficiency with at least one programming language (such as Perl, Python, C/C++, java)
- Proficiency with data analysis languages and tools such as Python/Jupyter, R/RStudio
- Strong interest in improving healthcare
