Senior Linux Systems Administrator / WAN
Clearance: TS/SCI
Disys is seeking a senior IT professional with technical experience in network and systems engineering, administration, configuration and troubleshooting. Having experience working in a larger enterprise environment is beneficial, preferably in the DoD space. This role will require a proficiency in routing, routing protocols, switching, security, firewall management and data center technologies.
QUALIFICATIONS

  • Active Top Secret / SCI eligibility
  • Security+ Certified
  • At least 8 years technical experience with an emphasis in Unix/Linux System Administration
  • WAN routing protocols, Border Gateway Protocols
  • Knowledge of multicast routing protocols including Protocol Independent Multicast and Multicast Source Discovery Protocol
  • Experience with InfinBand fabrics desirable
  • Experience deploying, maintaining and operating Unix/Linux systems, including HPC (high performance computing) clusters, a distributed DNS service, and internal support systems
  • Troubleshooting, resolving issues on systems, and Tier 1 up to Tier 2 level support
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer related field from an accredited college or university; or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Hands-on system administration experience
  • Linux distributions in a distributed computing environment
  • Solid understanding of IP network fundamentals
  • Awareness of network file systems such as NFS
  • Scripting languages such as Perl, Python and Bash for system automation tasks
  • Securing systems using SSH, VPN, PKI, Kerberos and similar technologies
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting enterprise server platforms
  • Familiarity with configuration of the HPC software stack
  • A familiarity with parallel file systems
  • Proficient with virtualization and container solutions
  • An understanding of network management tools
  • Tuning Linux to achieve optimal use of system and network resources
