The Role Responsibilities %26amp; Our Ideal Candidate

The Financial Markets Technology team in Standard Chartered Bangalore is responsible for building next generation FinTech software to solve the business problems. The successful candidate would work on any of the domains in the financial markets to build the next generation applications and tools which would help business. FM is looking for a senior developer in Java backend technology with microservices to fill various roles.
As a Senior developer, you’ll be responsible for delivering quality software to tight timelines. Based in Bangalore and working in a dynamic global team with other technologists, business analysts, project managers and business stakeholders across multiple locations. As a senior developer you will be held accountable for the design decisions and interactions with the Architecture team to take forward the standard architecture and design decisions
Key Attributes

  • Extremely strong backend Java developer with experience multithreading, datastructures and algorithms
  • An excellent developer with good software design principles and the ability to write robust code and accompanying test suites
  • Key technology Skills expected Java , Spring boot, scalable microservices
  • Exposure to any of the container frameworks like Kubernetes/Docker/openshift,/helm
  • Exposure to devops tools like Jenkins, SonarQube, git, bitbucket, maven, gradle, ansible,
  • Database exposure like SQL, Postgres
  • Familiarity with messaging frameworks like JMS/Kafka
  • Ability to design and build smart, scalable solutions to tight deadlines
  • Experience working in an agile development environment
  • Self-starter who can drive/facilitate requirements and development effort
  • Take ownership and responsibility for the full development lifecycle
  • A team player, capable of engaging with other teams in Technology
