The role requires the candidate to have excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational / coordination skills, and strong analysis skills as well as familiarity with the testing process within a development effort. The successful candidate will be process oriented and have a good understanding of product development lifecycle. The candidate should be comfortable in afast-pacedenvironment and be flexible to adapt to changes.
The candidate will work closely with the Product team and developers in the VIN business to deliver project change. The candidate will be expected to work with teams in the United States and India.
Responsibilities
- Work with stakeholders to elicit, document, and manage functional and non-functional requirements.
- Conduct requirements analysis, model business processes using process diagrams, flowcharts, data models, decision models. Document as-is and to-be process diagrams.
- Explore methods of user interaction utilizing use cases, storyboards, wireframes, and user stories. Assess proposed solutions and their ability to meet stakeholder requirements.
- Document functional analysis and create detailed business requirements; analyze and suggest improvements to business processes with system solutions, and make system recommendations to meet project needs, participate in projects to ensure solutions meet user requirements.
- Design and implement testing strategy and test plans based on system specifications, business requirements or user stories
- Work collaboratively with project teams, end users/stakeholders to analyze, understand, and document the business processes or needs. Engage with the development team by communicating requirements and functional specifications.
- Communicate effectively with all cross-functional team members and stakeholders on technical and non-technical topics
- A basic understanding of the Automotive industry would be beneficial for the role
Skills & Qualifications
- Hands on experience in Test Automation Tools/Frameworks: Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, TestNG, Jenkins, Maven, Git
- Strong experience in Java
- Experience with API testing tools such as Postman, Advanced REST client, SOAP UI
- Experience working in an Agile software development organization
- Exposure to SQL, DB, Object-oriented languages (general technology know-how), would be desirable
- Knowledge in Testing Management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps and various scripting tools
- Experience with Web services testing would be desirable
- Strong Analytical & Communication skills
- Good Knowledge of requirements elicitation, structured analysis, requirement documentation, stakeholder management, use case definition and other Business Analysis techniques
- Proven experience translating software requirements/stories into accurate and complete test scenarios, including identifying the detailed test data needs
- Experience with software test plan design and implementation
- Experience in the Automotive Industry preferable
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree preferred
- Minimum 5-8 years of relevant professional experience
