Join our Financial Control function and play a pivotal role across financial control tasks such as journal entry, management reporting and financial reporting, while growing your career in a global financial organisation.
As part of this diverse and supportive team you’ll take on a mix of delivery responsibilities, process ownership and talent management while also working hands on hands on and gaining close relation to the business you’re supporting. You’ll get to use your technical skills sets and deep understanding of IFRS based financial reporting, and the ability to translate commercial business transactions to the correct accounting treatment as you take responsibility for ensuring an effective financial control environment.
Your tasks will encompass things such as monthly balance sheet and profit and loss analysis as well as review of sub-system posting positions, month end close, inter-co breaks clearing, suspense clearing, Forex hedging and documentation, transfer pricing models, transfer pricing booking and tax bookings. You’ll also manage submission and review of collateralised debt position and data requirements, reconciliation, attestation of balances as well as financial, regulatory and tax reporting submissions.
You’ll also get the chance to undertake and deliver projects, improvement initiatives and standardisation approaches with a focus on improving processes and enhance efficiencies. You’ll also take responsibility and ownership over the work performed and ensure adherence to the timetable and work plan and maintaining high quality deliverables.
To be successful in this role you be able to demonstrate a strong sense of accountability, ownership capability and willingness to be ‘hands-on’. You’ll also demonstrate good problem-solving capabilities as well as strong planning and organisational skills to help you balance between often competing priorities.
You’ll have a qualification of Chartered Accountant recently passed in Jan-2021 with both groups and bring a deep understanding of reporting requirements under IFRS, particularly standards that are relevant to the Banking Industry.
