Senior Analyst (Analytics) – FDS&A
The Financial Decision Support & Analytics (FDS&A) team in Bangalore is responsible for providing analyses, insights and reporting that help identify drivers of performance and guide appropriate tactical actions to improve financial outcomes.
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Sr. Analyst to support the Store Merch Finance team in Mooresville. This role will be responsible for partnering directly with Finance leaders to deliver insightful and proactive analysis that drive fact based, data driven decision making. This role has a seat at the table and will work with the business to challenge the status quo and dive deep to solve complex business problems.
The successful candidate will be a creative thinker with a strong bias to action that can collaborate across Finance, Assortment Planning and Store Merch Teams. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling and problem-solving skills. The candidate should have a proven track record of influencing the business and supporting decision making in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
. Design, develop & deliver insightful financial reporting, dashboards, and analyses for leadership teams
. Build complex financial models and analytical tools
. Provide strategic insights, measurement, and tracking of category reviews (Resets)
. Forecast Margin/Sales Impact to the business due to various PLRs and Business Reviews.
. Leverage financial/statistical modeling skills to draw meaningful insights from complex data sets
. Hands on experience with classical statistical forecasting algorithms like ARIMA, Multivariate Time Series Forecasting (ARIMAX, SARIMAX) & Linear Regression Models
. Serve as a key business partner working directly with leadership and other stakeholders to influence financial performance
. Work with the team members and lead to help prompt execution of projects.
. Ability to see the bigger picture by connecting dots between multiple projects driven within the team
. Implement process improvement initiatives such as reporting automation, process standardization, and forecasting tools
Required Qualifications:
. Graduate (B.Tech/BE/B.Sc.) or Master’s in Business, Finance, or related Quantitative fields
. 4-6 years of prior experience, preferably 2 year in a Retail or analytical role
. Strong data collection, collation, and cleansing skills using tools like SQL, SAS /R/Python
. Understanding of classical statistical forecasting algorithms like ARIMA, Multivariate Time Series Forecasting (ARIMAX, SARIMAX) & Linear Regression Models
. Advanced knowledge of Excel (Power Pivots, Power Query, VBA) and PowerPoint
. Experience with business intelligence and reporting tools (MicroStrategy, TM1, Power BI, Teradata, Hadoop, etc.)
. Exceptional analytical skills, highly detail-oriented, strong communication and interpersonal skills
. Demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple competing priorities, experience working cross-functionally and with multiple stakeholders across locations
. Ability to consolidate, analyze, and effectively communicate complex data
. Critical thinking and decision making: The ability to solve complex problems
