Palo Alto Networks is looking for a Senior Accountant to help drive financial accounting quality and efficiencies under robust internal controls through the Company’s continued high pace growth. This person will be responsible for several accounting processes working with cross-functional teams to support projects and implement process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
Your Impact

  • Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations for various accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to GAAP, Company policy, and SOX controls
  • Assist on the day-to-day accounting operations for Fixed Assets and General Ledger including but not limited to capitalization and retirement of fixed assets for multiple entities, and month-end reconciliations by partnering with cross-functional teams, such as FP&A, Accounts Payable, Facilities, and International
  • Assist on routine Fixed Assets inventory and update the Fixed Assets Registry to reflect changes in custodians, locations, cost centers, etc.
  • Work with accounting and FP&A teams on a regular basis to review transactions in order to understand projects and reflect accurate balances in financial statements
  • Prepare journal entries related to depreciation accruals liabilities
  • Monitor BOTs for key process related to FA capitalizations, FA Rollforwards, etc. and interact with the RPA team to suggest process corrections as needed
  • Assist on the preparation of the global FA Rollforward and Flux analysis
  • Review multiple expense accounts to validate items are expensed or capitalized according to GAAP and corporate policies
  • Get cross-trained to cover key reporting activities to produce Controller’s review presentations
  • Assist with other projects as required to streamline processes and implement RPA
  • Support corporate accounting team preparing audit schedules for internal and external audits

Your Experience

  • Bachelor&aposs Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (Chartered Accountant a plus)
  • Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus but not required
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in accounting for large US public corporations preferred
  • Experience with SAP or large ERP systems a plus
  • Proficient with Excel and PowerPoint (G-Suite is a plus!)
  • Experience with account reconciliations tools like Blackline a plus
  • Detail oriented and efficient in processing transactions
  • Ability to multitask, stay organized and prioritize deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Promotes teamwork and works well with others
  • Energetic and positive attitude
