Experienced SAP Security Consultant required to work in the SAP Security Team within Group IT. The role will initially focus on BAU support within an ECC environment, however, with a planned move to S/4, exposure to newer technology will follow on in the future

Job Description:
Experienced SAP Security Consultant required to work in the SAP Security Team within Group IT. The role will initially focus on BAU support within an ECC environment, however, with a planned move to S/4, exposure to newer technology will follow on in the future
Duties will include: –

  • Business as Usual Support across all environments including ECC, BI, SRM and EP
    • Second Line Support – dealing with more complex issues that cannot be fixed by first line support
    • Amendments to roles in line with business requirements
    • Regular Housekeeping tasks
    • Adhoc requests from the business
    • Ongoing knowledge transfer to first line support
    • Identification, documentation and handover of less complex repetitive tasks to offshore service desk team
    • Ongoing knowledge transfer and training for less experienced members of the team
    • Monthly recertification of privileged access
  • License Administration
    • Monthly internal license audit
    • Annual SAP license audit

Essential Experience/Skills

  • ECC – SAP Standard Security Model
    • Standard authorisation concept
    • HR Authorisations – including an understanding of structural authorisations, HR specific authorisation objects and how to secure HR data.
    • License Administration
    • Troubleshooting
  • Enterprise Portal
    • An understanding of how EP interacts with backend systems
  • SRM
    • Exposure to security within an SRM environment
    • A basic understanding of the difference between the way transactions work within SRM and ECC
    • License Administration
    • Troubleshooting
  • Business Warehouse
    • Knowledge of how the standard SAP authorisation concept works to secure the administration tasks within BW
    • Exposure to securing reports within a BW environment and an understanding of how this differs from the SAP standard authorisation concept
    • Exposure to security within a Business Objects environment

Desired Experience/Skills

  • Experience of large user base with varied requirements
  • Exposure to S4 systems, and understanding of the differences between security in an S/4 system and an ECC system.
  • Exposure to HANA DB security and a general understanding of how privileges are assigned.
