A leading global firm in Software & Cloud Economics with presence in 35 countries and partnership with Global software leaders, is looking for SAM Consultant with experience on Cloud Platforms.
Job Description:
SAM Consultant is responsible for software license recommendation by creating effective licence position reports for customers on-premises and using Cloud platforms like Azure and AWS.
Responsibilities:
• Perform analysis and reporting of software installations and optimize software licenses
• Importing licenses and agreements into the entitlement database/SAM tool.
• Performing reconciliation analysis for different publishers
• Creating customized reports and comparison for cost savings
• Creating recommendations on how to license, reconcile, re-deploy licensing entitlement
• Analyse customer’s license contracts / Cloud subscriptions.
• Analyse consumption history and trends to understand and support discussion with stakeholders regarding future demand
• Provide the best practice licensing model to the Customers based on their requirement to optimize license management.
Requirements:
• 5+ years of minimum professional experience in licensing industry with successful SAM Management / software licensing experience across publishers.
• Should have completed several Internal audits to ensure Software compliance & resolved licensing issues for multiple customers.
• Experience in Inventory tools like SCCM, Lansweeper, Qualys, Rythium, ILMT, for determining software usage.
• Experience in the licensing models of different software publishers such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, VMWare, Autodesk, etc.
• Good in Microsoft Excel & PowerPoint
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience interacting with multiple stakeholders at all levels
• SAM certifications such as Software Asset Management (SAM) – Core (70-713)
