The notification regarding the recruitment of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) by the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) was released on 18th January 2024. RRB ALP Exam Pattern
RRB ALP is a multi-stage exam and requires a candidate to be aware of all the stages, syllabus, and level of the paper. We are providing you with the previous year’s papers for CBT 1 & CBT 2 so here is an overview of the pattern of these stages and the subjects asked for your reference.
- The first stage CBT 1 of the ALP recruitment exam consists of 75 questions carrying 1 mark each across 4 sections which are Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness & Current Affairs. The time allotted at this stage of the exam is 60 minutes.
- The second stage CBT 2 of the exam is conducted in 2 parts. Part A of the paper consists of Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, Basic Science & Engineering, and General Awareness & Current affairs.
- Part B consists of questions on the relevant trade (Electrical/Electronics and communication/automobile/Mechanical.
- Part A has 100 questions carrying 1 mark each for 90 minutes and Part B has 75 questions carrying 1 mark each for 60 minutes. Communication/Automobile/Mechanical).
