Role Summary-
Solutions Consultants provide business knowledge and technical support to Account Managers and the commercial organization throughout the sales cycle demonstrating products to customers to show how they will meet their requirements, and discussing the use of IDBS services to obtain maximum business benefit.
In this role, you will develop and maintain relationships with Customer Support associates and Product Managers to ensure that they continue to develop their product and services knowledge based on qualified feedback from customers.
The position is customer facing and requires strong domain knowledge and technical skills, good interpersonal skills and an understanding of business value in order to grasp customer requirements, not only from a technical perspective but also from a business perspective.
Responsibilities:

  • Help qualify the customers needs and drive the engagement through to a successful sale.
  • Define and articulate clearly the customers journey towards a successful deployment
  • Demonstrate ability to develop customer and IDBS partner relationships on a short and long-term basis.
  • Assist with the qualification of customer opportunities from a product/solution fit and customer benefit standpoint
  • Provide customer feedback to the Product Managers and Marketing on existing products and industry trends.
  • Maintain commercial awareness of IDBS customers and competitors.
  • Support RFI and RFP process
  • Create demo materials using IDBS best practices and adapting to the market and customer expectations in India across our solutions
  • Pitch and lead customer workshops for detailed demonstration of our software services and hand hold customers through this journey with support from the global team

Required Competencies –

  • Solid understanding of at least one of our target markets (Pharmaceuticals, Biotech/Biologics development, Analytical Sciences)
  • Degree level qualification and/or equivalent R&D focused skills in at least one of the target markets
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with an ability to explain complex scenarios in a simple manner
  • Communicate with a diverse customer community such as scientists, IT, Department Heads, Senior Management and Business Sponsors
  • Demonstrate a keen interest in scientific software
  • Experience of using IDBS (or similar) products would be an advantage
  • Collate, analyze and interpret complex R&D Data efficiently
  • Requires travelling for customer visits and workshops across the region

Desirable Competencies

  • Candidate must have worked in R&D Environment of Pharma/Biotech for atleast 4-5 years alternatively, must have spent similar time serving R&D operations from scientific software perspective.
