Position Profile – QE-1 (Manual tester, Mixed Reality)
Job Purpose
We are looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) engineer to develop and execute manual exploratory tests to ensure product quality.
QA engineer responsibilities include designing and executing manual tests including UI and functional tests for Mixed Reality application.
The responsibilities will also include monitoring all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to meet quality standards.
Main Responsibilities
Work with Lead Quality Engineer to understand product requirements and develop test cases.
Test Software releases during product development.
Develop test cases.
Generate Test Reports and log bugs into the bug database.
Track bugs to closure.
Coordinate with the Development team, understand the software release process, and get the release to closure.
Provide necessary test data to the development team.
Plan, organize, and execute assignments with very little or moderate supervision.
Responsible for test execution within the required deadlines. Deliveries can be test reports, bug related test data, etc.
Coordinate with the team for the timely delivery of test data. Ensure the quality of work by getting test case reviews by test analysts, developers, peer test case reviews, etc.
Other responsibilities as assigned by the management from time to time.
Key Result Area
Timely execution of tests on a sprint-to-sprint basis.
Effective reporting of work and reports.
Skill Set
Hands-on experience of Mobile/Web/Desktop/Mixed Reality application testing.
Hands-on experience in test case development.
Knowledge of the Agile process.
Good understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle.
Working knowledge of the Windows 10 system.
Qualifications & Experience
Working experience in a tier-1 organization for a period of 1 to 3 years.
Graduated from a tier-I or tier-II institute.
B.E / B.Tech or M.E / M.Tech / M.S. in Computer Science Engineering or an equivalent degree.
10th Grade: State Boards 70%. Central or International Boards: 70%
12th Grade: State Boards 70%. Central or International Boards: 70%
Physical Requirements
The testing activity requires the candidate to wear a mixed reality headset (Microsoft Hololens or equivalent products) for 6-8 hours per day.
The headset weighs anywhere between 600 grams to 1.25 kg.
The candidate is expected not to have any medical history related to spinal or neck issues.
The candidate is expected not to have migraine-related issues.
The candidate must have a stereoscopic vision and must be able to identify depth and objects in a 3D view.
The candidate should not have any form of deformity in the hands. The mixed reality apps make use of hand gestures.
