Duties
We seek a dynamic, highly skilled, and passionate Functional Tester to support our Mobile Development activities.This is a hands-on role requiring a thorough understanding of quality assurance processes. The Functional Tester will work with new product development teams to support high-value engineering activities. The person in this role should be a strong communicator who is able to work effectively with peers and management alike in a high-paced, agile environment. We are looking for someone who is flexible, detail oriented, and can respond quickly, energetically, and enthusiastically to changes. The Functional Tester will work alongside the mobile apps teams. We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual who will be responsible for bringing best practices in quality assurance.
Skills:

  • Have at least 3 years of experience as a manual tester working in an software development environment
  • Have experience building test plans and running manual acceptance tests
  • Can effectively communicate defect details and reproduction steps
  • Are comfortable with public speaking
  • Embrace quickly-changing needs, requirements, and environments
  • Have at least 3 years’ experience specifically testing for Android and iOS platforms
  • Can eloquently explain defects, test plans, and different quality assurance efforts
  • Have experience working closely with internal and external teams
  • Understand the differences between iterative and waterfall software development
  • Have previous experience in a software development agency or consultancy
  • Nerd out on technology, whether it’ s keeping up with the latest in mobile technologies, or spending weekends learning to code
