Sr. Project Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Defines and creates project plan for the project, includes prioritization and implementation
• Defines scope and deliverables for vendor participant agreements
• Partners with business sponsors to define success metrics and criteria
• Facilitates all operational checkpoint activities throughout the lifecycle of the project
• Assesses and resolves all high priority project risks as they are encountered
• Continually apprises relevant business stakeholder of project status
• Proactively manages changes in project scope, identifies issues, and devises contingency plans.
• Identifies, manages, and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team
• Provides frequent monitoring and enforcement of schedules, milestones, and vendor accountability
• Conducts meetings with senior leadership and key stakeholders across the organization to validate understanding of business goals and effectively communicate the business strategy
• Aligns rollout strategy across multiple stakeholder groups
• Leads effective status meetings which communicate overall project status and define actions required to keep project within scope, schedule and budget
• Publishes weekly status reports which provide project progress to project team and stakeholders
• Manages vendor progress and deliverables
• Ensures vendor contractual obligations are met
• Acts as a first checkpoint for quality delivered by vendor
• Gains deep knowledge of requirements and ensures product and vendor deliverables meet requirements
Basic Qualifications
• The candidate must have proven experience working in a matrix environment and managing multiple stakeholders
• Skilled in distilling insights from data and synthesizing and crafting compelling presentations for executive audiences, both financial and non-financial
• Demonstrated excellence in verbal/written communication capabilities and presentation skills
• Understands basics of updating project budgets, forecasts and actuals
• Strong commitment to program success metrics
• Excellent attention to detail
• Self-motivated
• Work effectively in a team environment, and with remote teams
• Excellent facilitation, collaboration, organizational and presentation skills
• Strong ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels
• Knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods
• Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment
• Comfort with ambiguity, frequent change, and unpredictability
Experience
• 5 to 10 years of experience as a project manager in complex and large corporate environments with multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Office 365, MS Teams, MS Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and project management tools (Clarity, Smartsheet, etc.)
• Proven ability to complete projects and achieve results in an ambiguous work environment
• Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well-communicated expectations
• Proven strong negotiating and consensus building abilities
• Proven ability to manage a project budget
• Experience with global information security desired
