Sutherland is seeking an analytical and strategic-thinking person to join us as Content Editor. We are a group of forward-thinking and driven individuals.   • Edit and proofread reports according to client specifications—adhering to all relevant style points
  • Rephrase sentences and improve content structure
  • Worked on writing and editing advisor and client facing content
  • Well versed with editing conversational and instructional content
  • Write ups to include set up, decision trees, articles, FAQs, and guides
  • Ability to understand and grasp business jargons, as well as overall business and economics terms
  • Build a log of repetitive errors and share with content writing team to help improve quality
  • Train the team in writing style and client requirements to improve deliverables
  • Shows willingness to work with new team members to quicken the learning curve
  • Capture accurate times on the work completed
  • Conduct calibration exercises within the team to standardize writing style
  • Collaborate with the client to develop writing style guides for better output
  • Work in a fast-paced environment and deliver reports under tight deadlines

Qualifications
Our most successful candidates will have:

  • At least 4-5 years of work experience in editing/content domain
  • Proficiency in English language and grammar
  • Excellent communication and writing skills
  • Well versed with the nuances of UK/US English
  • Should have a knowhow of Chicago Manual of Style, Associated Press Guidelines, etc.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English Literature, Linguistics, Media Communications or any other relevant field
  • Previously managed a team of content writers/editors
  • Ability to interact with the client and to fine tune expectations
