Job Title: CIO Equity Specialists Team Support Analyst
Corporate Title: AVP/Associate
The IPB CIO Office is responsible for generation and coordination of investment research and themes for IPB clientele and works in conjunction with the regional CIO desk heads. The CIO Equity Specialists Team is responsible for recommending to IPB clients, handpicked single-line equities across EU, US and APAC capital markets with immense long-term structural growth potential based on a bottom-up approach and in-depth research. The role would involve providing robust support to Equity Specialists based in Europe and Asia through excellent research and analysis of equities, close coordination as well as other allied activities to enable the team achieve performance objectives. The team plays a significant role in presenting actionable investment ideas to clients, investment advisors, relationship managers and internal capital markets stakeholders across various IPB communication platforms.

Your key responsibilities

  • Identify single line equities with strong long-term structural growth potential across EU, US and APAC capital markets through in-depth research of sectors and trends
  • Create high quality marketing material, in the form of slides and emails, conveying the investment ideas in clear and crisp language
  • Create and maintain significant quarterly/ semi-annual financial information on all the stocks under coverage
  • Work with a Global team spread across Asia and Europe in a coordinated approach to brainstorm ideas
  • Build relationships, co-ordinate and engage with Compliance and various other teams across the value chain
  • Timely update of list of stocks and associated disclaimers for distribution to various stakeholders and publication in IPB’s content management platforms
  • Keep track of latest significant market-moving news and events as well as various emerging trends, and share knowledge /insights /views with the team
  • The ideal candidate will be required to allocate 60% to research support (e.g. company and sector analysis) and 40% to admin support activities (e.g. Eq. List updates, content platform related)

Your skills and experience

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Management or similar
  • Extensive experience in the financial services industry, preferably in Equity Research
  • Excellent research skills as a generalist focusing on APAC, EU and US capital markets
  • Prior knowledge about the regulatory environment and compliance guidelines in EU and APAC capital markets will be preferable
  • Knowledge regarding creation and maintenance of DCF valuation models preferred
  • Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to work under limited or no supervision while adhering to timelines
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Word
  • Familiarity with leading financial data platforms such as Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters etc.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills. Proficiency for presenting and debating a point under pressure
  • Willingness to cover APAC morning hours (starting at 7:30am IST)
