Oracle is seeking candidates for its Solutions Strategy Product Management team operating under Mission Critical Systems Technology Product Management group. Solutions Strategy Product Management team’s charter is to enable global sales teams to realize the potential of offering solutions that promote cross product upselling of products/services from three product portfolios consisting of Oracle on-prem engineered systems (Exadata, Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance, Oracle Database Appliance), database related cloud services ( Autonomous Database Service, Exadata Cloud Service, Database Cloud Services and others) as well as Cloud @ Customer Services ( Oracle Exadata Cloud @ Customer, Oracle Autonomous Cloud @ Customer ) to grow sales.
Oracle engineered systems and Autonomous Cloud Services built on Exadata are the next generation Cloud service and product portfolio built from the ground up to support the most demanding database management requirements addressing a wide range of customer use cases.
Solutions Strategy Product Management team focuses on defining the solution, sales and go-to-market strategy for customers moving their Oracle database and applications workloads to one of the aforementioned products and services. We help drive acquisition of new customers while maintaining a strong emphasis on continual customer success. Our mission is to transform our customers experience – how they envision the value of their Cloud journey, confidence in the technical and commercial viability, faster adoption and expansion.
Our Product Managers work cross-functionally within the Systems Technology team to build solutions that will have measurable impact for sales teams to create and enable repeatable campaigns to fuel sales growth.
Responsibilities include:
Identify solutions that allow customers to benefit from simultaneous use of various Oracle database technologies both on-premises and in the cloud.- Prepare proposals for executive approvals where needed
- Educate the sales teams globally in selling the solution leading to higher cross selling
- Define new programs that would scale the business for a specific customer base or a sales play – target customer base, execution details, metrics and KPIs
- Lead and influence product teams to invest and iterate on the right solution capabilities that increase cross-selling opportunities
- Own solution definition – vision, roadmap, identify key capabilities, ecosystem facets.
- Build sales enablement assets, tools to accelerate discovery, technical wins and customer on-boarding
- Incubate and test new programs before we launch them at scale
- Collaborate cross-functionally to build the messaging, positioning and technical enablement content
- Be the expert in knowing customers, market, competition, and the role Oracle products play.
- Lead and influence product teams to invest and iterate on the right product capabilities.
- Make business decisions to drive market adoption and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with sales and marketing to deliver high quality product collateral, influence packaging and positioning.
Preferred Qualifications include:
- Experience in Oracle technical sales consulting / Oracle cloud/solutions architect role that involved assisting sales to position solutions based on the three product portfolio consisting of on-prem Engineered Systems products, the database cloud services products as well as Cloud @ Customer products (minimum 7-8 years experience required)
- Building and articulating solutions that involved understanding current customer environment and offering a solutions that helped migrate customer workload from existing environment to one of the Oracle product portfolios supported by our group
- Extensive product-level experience with Oracle Cloud services and in-depth knowledge of Oracle database is a must
- Extensive product-level experience with one or more of these areas is a plus: Application Development, Middleware, Databases, Virtualization, Networking, and Storage architectures
- Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams
- Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results
- Flexibility and comfort with ambiguous product decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience building value propositions, messaging, and guidance for the field and partners
- Product-level experience with business-critical Oracle apps, like EBS, Peoplesoft, Siebel, JDE is a plus.
- Bachelor and/or master’s degree in a relevant discipline
- Ability to travel locally as well as internationally as appropriate for up to 20% of time

Lead a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.
As a member of the product development division, you will analyze and integrate external customer specifications. Suggest and justify product directions and specifications. Specify, design and implement moderate changes to existing software architecture. Build new products and development tools. Build and execute unit tests and unit test plans. Review integration and regression test plans created by QA. Communicate with QA and porting engineering to discuss major changes to functionality.
