Job Description
As a principal engineer the candidate will be a member of the IP Engineering group in Microchip India. This is a hands-on technical contributor role that will allow the right candidate to develop their engineering skills and participate in varied, interesting and challenging development projects. The successful candidates will work on IP Verification. Job Requirements
Essential Characteristics
• BSEE
• 5 + years relevant IP / SoC verification experience
• A demonstrable track record of verification of RTL solutions at the block and IP level
• Logic verification background with a high level of proficiency in Verilog, VHDL,
System Verilog and OVM/UVM.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• History of working to defined processes and procedures.
Very Desirable Characteristics
• Experience verifying and validating solutions for FPGAs
• Expert user of Synplify synthesis and Modelsim simulation tools
• Work experience in a Silicon Valley multi-national engineering company
• Design familiarity with ARM AMBA bus systems
• Experience of System Verilog and UVM
• Knowledge of one or more of I2C, SPI, Ethernet, PCI, 1553,USB, SATA, or similar
communications protocols
Advantageous Characteristics
• System level verification experience
• Background in Soft IP verification
• Experience validating solutions with Microchip FPGAs
• Knowledge of processor based systems
• Embedded C language programming skills
• Post-graduate degree
