Job Description
Job Title: Principal Engineer, SW for Hypervisor
Department:Cockpit Platform Group
MISSION
Developing System middleware and foundation software components for Digital Cockpit platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES/ DELIVERABLES
- Working on Android Internals for virtualized environment, performance measurement of system and critical components, optimization of critical resources sharing like GPU, Ethernet, eMMC etc, boot time optimization, inter VM communication, tracking and meeting of platform KPIs, supporting multiple displays etc.
- Implementing security measures at system and individual Guest OS level
- Prepare approach documents, performance benchmarking approach note and reports, participate in technical discussions and reviews, etc
- Collaborate as a module lead or team member
Experience
- 10+years of total experience out of which at least last 7-8 years in Automotive Electronics SWdomain. Experience in Digital Cockpit / Cluster domain would be an added advantage
- Deep understanding of Automotive ECU Architecture and Organization including heterogeneous symmetric / asymmetric embedded systems.
- Experience in working with Android-O internals for Automotive IVI in following areas:- Android Verify boot, HWC (2.0 preferred) , Android HAL architecture, Android Graphics Stack, InputFlinger and Multi-Display system, Android Filesystem Layout/Partitions including Recovery partition, Android Cores Services, system and debugging tools.
- Experience in working on Android Security – SEAndroid including knowledge to add/modify new or existing SEAndroid policies.
- Experience in working with Trusty TEE.
- Understanding and working experience with bare metal hypervisors (like Xen, OKL4, Mentor Embedded, Green Hills etc.) on platforms that support Virtualization extension including debugging, performance measurement and optimization. Experience in Intel based virtualization technologies– VT-x, VT-d, Intel-GVT would be an added advantage
- Basic understanding of ISO 26262 functional safety integrity levels and knowledge of Functional Safety related SW development
- Understanding of OpenMAX Framework
- Understanding of PCIe, CAN, SPI, I2S, UART, I2C, USB, eMMC, PMIC, Ethernet, tuner. (prior experience in developing device drivers for one or more of these peripherals in an advantage)
- Understanding of Android Security features including popular cryptography algorithms and their use. Experience in writing SEAndroid / SELinux policy, hardening of Linux Kernel and user space
- High proficiency in C/C++ , JAVA Programming and skilled in reading / writing assembly instructions
- Ability to read schematics and technical reference manuals/system programmers guide
- Skillset to use Hardware tools like JTAG debuggers, oscilloscope, multimeter for trouble shooting/performance measurement of critical software/hardware.
- Good understanding of SDLC phases (Knowledge on Safety (ISO 26262) / Secure SDLC (SAEJ3061) processes
