Product Owner
Position
The successful candidate will join our Pune based Product Center to manage the Product Backlog for multiple agile software development teams.
You have experience in working with teams in a scrum setting and are self-motivated, proactive, and an out-of-the-box thinker. You can translate business requirements into an iterative and feasible implementation roadmap.
You demonstrate high levels of initiative, independence and integrity and are an excellent communicator. You can express a vision and enthusing stakeholders and teams comes easy to you.
Responsibilities/Job Description (Product Owner)

  • · Understand our product on a functional (and technical) level, understand the business drivers of our clients, and deliver quality solutions that address the business needs of our clients.
  • · Work with product management, stakeholders, peers and teams to define and prioritize the product backlog for your delivery cluster (typical 2 scrum teams).
  • · Interact with clients to align client/project requirements with product vision.
  • · Be the contact point for internal and external stakeholders on the delivery content and progress made. Organize and facilitate the team and stakeholder requirement management rituals: roadmap, story mapping, grooming and prioritization, sprint reviews, stakeholder demo, etc.
  • · Elaborate roadmap items into actionable story maps and stories that scrum teams can work on.
  • · Participate in new customer scoping exercises to demonstrate product capabilities and new features on the roadmap.
  • · Where required, get involved in customer implementations to address specially challenging situations, escalations, and roadblocks pertaining to product functionality.
  • · Proactively communicate the product development goals to the scrum teams.
  • · Support the teams in their sprint execution in order to improve release discipline.
  • · Drive improvements in solution design, analysis and testing activities.
  • · Anticipate delivery issues, develop preventive measures, and mitigate risks.

Our ideal candidate recognises him- or herself in below profile:

  • · 8+ years’ experience in software development, proven experience with requirements management processes, preferably in a product development context.
  • · Proven experience with agile teams and backlog management processes, facilitating leadership style.
  • · Aability to meet deadlines, goals and objectives
  • · Fluency in the English language and excellent communication and presentation skills is a must.
  • · Ability to build strong relationships with extended global teams is a must
  • · Customer interfacing experience is a strong preference.
  • · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills is a must.
  • · Self-motivated, strong initiative, flexible and good time management skills.
  • · Enthusiastic, proactive and a good team player.
