Power BI Architect
Key Skills
1. 12+ years of IT experience and mandatory 3 years Data space experience in data modelling
2. 3 + years of Power BI experience mandatory
3. Should have exposure to the SAP ECC and preferably in SAP MII
4. Must have worked in the Manufacturing Industry
5. Detail oriented, analytical and inquisitive
6. End to end capability to define and build the Dimensional models, ETL and Power BI dashboards
7. Should have worked with role level security and dashboard distribution based on roles
8. Very good written and oral communication
9. Ability to identify data elements required for KPI calculations
10. Expert analysis and design skills
11. Expert Power BI
12. Expert data modeling knowledge, including UML domain models, ER data models, and business intelligence dimensional models
Strong knowledge about RDBMs, including SQL, preferably with Oracle
Strong knowledge about software development processes
Client is one of leading Cement Manufacturing Company in Saudi Arabia. The project is to build data marts for building the dashboards in Power BI. The source systems would be SAP MII and SAPP ECC.
The Power BI Architect will define and develop project data architectures and develop the dashboards. This includes ensuring the completeness and correctness of technical artifacts relating to data requirements, database design, data integration (ETL), and dimensional models. Concerns include application integration, performance, maintainability, robustness, and security of the data architecture. The Data Architect must understand project related data and integration requirements. This person will work with developers and Business Analyst to ensure that the design is implemented appropriately.
JOB Role
1. Work closely with Business Analyst and client executives to understand the client requirements
2. Build the technical specification and mock-ups for client sign off
3. Determine the integration model to have data extracted from the source (SAP)
4. Design and Build the staging and dimensional model
5. Define the ETL
6. Design the Power BI dashboards and delivery mechanism on Mobile and Web.
7. Work with Business Analysts and SAP team to identify data sources for KPIs
8. Work Closely with Business team in conducting UAT and sign off of the requirements
9. Work as a team to make sure that minimum to no issues come in production
10. Prepare release notes and change management
11. Training the end users on reports and dashboards
12. Coordinate technical training
13. Overall communication
