As part of the role, your responsibilities include:

  • Understand the features, complexities of the current application and its place in the wider architecture landscape
  • Develop and test ETL and other supporting data retrieval/update (e.g. APIs) features using modern standards & technologies Oracle, GIT, Atlassian tools, Java, Python, UNIX, Control-M and Selenium
  • Seek to provide operational support on an L3-basis via on-call rotation across continents, using a follow-the-sun model.
  • Manage designs of major software components, features to improve the availability, scalability, latency, and efficiency of the product.
  • Actively develop features on & understand the software lifecycle of the platform, considering industry best-practices, internal standards and feedback from build violations tools (e.g. SonarQube).
  • Actively participate in peer code/design reviews and be interested in the business as well as technology aspects of the domain.
  • Be focused on Site Reliability Engineering/DevOps principles in mind to ensure operational aspects are automated & the platform is fast, reliable, scalable, available & easy to deploy fully-tested features
  • Utilize standards, architecture, and processes to ensure that all code and development practices conform to company and industry best-practices
  • Be genuine, transparent and bring a positive, can-do attitude and be open to all ideas.

Your future colleagues
The Credit Risk Information System, CRIS team is located across London, Warsaw & Singapore with the primary development centres located in Pune and Warsaw. The team strength is around 25, with a breadth of development experience spanning from 3 years up to 30+ years. The team is in the process of transitioning from a traditional separation of responsibilities (Ex. BA, Dev, and QA) into teams of multi-hatted Analyst/Developers with the first phase of test automation upskilling in flight across the team
The team primary interfaces are Credit Risk Management operational personnel responsible for various aspects of Credit Risk oversight, and Reporting & Data Management personnel who are responsible for data quality and operational/regulatory reporting production.
