Project Description

The Balance Sheet Management Platform makes extensive use of Oracle as a Service, Enterprise 12c, including in-memory. The platform supports the Banks Treasury and ALM Risk function. The platform operates 24/7 supporting teams in Sydney, Asia, Europe, and North America.

Responsibilities

* Advising both the development and business teams on the most optimal query structures required to achieve their requirements
* Debugging and/or rewriting complex queries to achieve optimal performance
* Table partitioning, compression and Oracle in-memory functionality
* Data Modelling concepts
* DDL scripting and management

Required Candidate profileSkills

Must – Strong Oracle DBA (Core DBA and Development DBA)
– Database design and maintenance of data models
– Creation and review of DML/DDL scripts, advanced SQL, performance tuning & optimization of SQL queries, and understanding trade-offs of indices
– Compression, partitioning, in-memory usage, backup, migration and restoration of schema/tables/clusters
– User access reviews, security, and data encryption
– Knowledge of PL/SQL
Nice to have – Financial Services experience especially in Capital Markets
